Mo Halabi is a singer,
songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist and one of the founding
members of FUSIONpresents. His music career dates back to his
early days as a 6 year old in Kuwait, where he used to play cartoon
tunes by ear on his little Casio keyboard. Throughout his
childhood, Mo was always the star musician at his schools as well as
the leader of his school bands. In 1990, Mo started classical
piano training, a venture that was short lived due to the invasion
of Kuwait. In 1994, Mo met fellow musician FP artist
Sami on the campus grounds of McGill University in Montreal, but
it wasn't till 1996 when the two became good friends and a musical
connection was created.

In 1997, Mo and Sami performed their
first live show at Club 737 in Montreal, having arranged and
produced a medley of their versions of the best R&B songs of the
year.

Over the next 5 years, Mo & Sami
jammed repeatedly while Mo continued to develop his songwriting
skills, accumulating over 100 songs. In July 2002, Sami and FP
artist
Gish approached Mo with the concept of FUSIONpresents, a
collaboration of artists to develop, promote, and perform each
other's music. The first
www.fusionpresents.com was launched the following month.

Mo & Sami Live @ O'Regan's
In the summer of 2004, Mo joined Sami
on stage every Tuesday night at O'Regan's Irish Pub in Montreal for
one of the most successful live performance events in Montreal at
the time. The duo recorded two of those live shows, creating a live
album of 35 cover songs and numerous originals that remain
FUSIONpresents' most downloaded material.
