Gish (Michael A. Samah)
is a singer, songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, percussionist
and drummer, as well as a professional actor, playing
important roles in Hollywood films such as The Sum of All
Fears & Day After Tomorrow, as well as acting in various
plays and sketch comedies and voice over roles. Gish was born in
Beirut, Lebanon and lived most of his pre-university years
in Dubai, UAE. His musical career dates back to the age of 6
when he started singing Beatles and Michael Jackson songs
with his brother Carl (Karl Wolf). After playing cover music
with his high school bands, at which time he had
concentrated on being the drummer, Gish continued to create
and record his own music in his room using a guitar and some
home-style recording equipment.

Gish's first band was
a Beatles cover band in the 8th grade called "The Gambling." His second was a Metallica
cover band named "Black Araya".
Gish played the drums and sang for these cover groups,
but also concentrated on teaching himself the guitar and
writing original music on guitar and keyboard.
In 1995,
Gish ventured to Montreal, Canada to pursue his
Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering
and Robotics Engineering respectively. During his studies
Gish explored many
musical avenues, performing
with numerous university bands for university parties.
In late 1995, Gish met the Campbell brothers, 3 musical
siblings with whom Gish later formed the band, GUMBO.
In their first year, GUMBO wrote 14 songs and produced
their first CD entitled "KID". The group followed a democratic approach
to songwriting where each partner was involved in
developing the songs and ideas.
GUMBO continued to play music in bars together
across Montreal and Toronto, promoting their first CD,
all the while continuing to write and create new music.
Over the course of the 6 years between 1997 and 2003,
GUMBO developed the songs to their next album and recorded them at DNA studios and
CASA Audio in Montreal. The second GUMBO CD, "Running
Late" was released in late 2003 and was truly a great body of work for
the band.

During these 6 years Gish had also explored his own
songwriting and towards the end of his undergraduate
program he had written a number of great songs,
including the 2004 Montreal hit, "Summer," as well as other
classics like "His Girlfriend", "Gorgeous Angel",
"She's For Real" and "Psychobabe". The first of his
own studio recordings was
"Psychobabe", where Gish played all the
instruments and recorded all the vocals. He returned to
the studio to record "Summer" and "His Girlfriend", where he again performed
all the
instruments and vocals.

In June 2002, FP artist
Sami approached Gish with the concept of FUSIONpresents,
a collaboration of artists to develop, promote, and
perform each other's music. After recruiting
fellow talented musician and songwriter, FP artist
Mo,
to FUSIONpresents in July 2002,
www.fusionpresents.com was launched the following
month.

The Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1 & Apr 1
2003 Runs
On Jan 1, 2003, Mo, Sami & Gish
launched FUSIONpresents with the first live FP Band performance at
the McGill Medical School Annexe. On Feb 1, FP held its second
launch party at the same location, and on March 1, the trio ventured
to NYC to perform their US debut at George Keeley's in upper
Manhattan. On April 1, Mo, Gish & Sami released the first FP
album, Just a Demo.

Angell Woods
In mid 2003, FUSIONpresents was asked to
compose a song for the City of Beaconsfield to help raise awareness to
protect its remarkable forest, Angell Woods. Gish led the creative
process in developing the song "Angell Woods" with FP artists Sami, Mo &
Bob.
Karl Wolf lent his talent to produce the song, while Gish performed
all vocals with Sami & Mo on guitars. The song was adopted by the
City of Beaconsfield and became the theme song of Angell Woods
Appreciation Day.
